In July 2017, a group of top Mazatlán real estate professionals were united under the vision of Shaun Klynstra to come together and launch Keller Williams El Faro in March, 2018.  

To date, KW El Faro is home to a growing community of more than 130 agents supported by a top executive leadership team, world class real estate technology, the industry’s top training and coaching, and the real estate world’s most effective systems and models.  

Since March 2018, KW El Faro has assisted more than 2,000 families in Mazatlán with their real estate needs, establishing KW El Faro as the top real estate brokerage not only in Mazatlán, but as one of the top brokerages in northwest Mexico, and has received numerous awards and recognitions including Top Luxury Real Estate Brokerage in Mexico (2021).

Born in Calgary, my family moved to Yorkton, Saskatchewan at a young age. On a freezing night of 2001, I decided to head south to warmth for a couple of months. 

I first arrived to Mazatlan in December. The city and an “unlucky” Mazatlan woman, my now wife Claudia Vega, captured my heart immediately. In 2002, I made the full-time move and since then have been proud to call Mexico my home. 

It’s amazing what the Pearl of the Pacific (Mazatlan) can do for some people!!! 

These life experiences have really enabled me to integrate with Mazatlan and Mexico on a professional, cultural, political, and social level, and have also allowed me to have a better understanding of economics, laws, and many other important local topics. 

I am first a husband and father of three beautiful children and am also fortunate to be the founder and Operating Partner of Keller Williams El Faro, in addition to being the founder and owner of Solutions Real Estate Mexico. I am an active partner in AMPI Mazatlan (our local real estate association) and blessed to be an active member in the Mazatlan community.
